When turf is being used for continuous sporting activity, it is extremely important that it remains strong and healthy, often in conditions of extreme wear and tear. One of the key areas of preparation is the quality of sand that is used when the turf is laid and seasonal top dressing applied. Hugh King & Co. are extremely experienced in this area, having supplied clay and organic free sands, sand soil blends and sterilized top dressings to a number of high profile professional sports and golf clubs for many years. Our sands are specifically developed to promote vigorous and healthy growth in both foliage and roots whilst maintaining adequate drainage. We continually develop our products in line with new technology and frequently subject our products to independent laboratory testing at the S.T.R.I
.(Sports Turf Research Institute).
Our white silica sands are dust free, durable and self-draining and as such are particularly suitable for equestrian centres, children's play areas and golf course bunkers.
